A firm favourite during that time has been the fabulous Super Symmetry - a classicly designed compression pedal with inherent envelope effects - which has now unfortunately been discontinued due to component shortages.

With the Darkglass Hyper Luminal Hybrid Compressor you get a combination of Darkglass's analog expertise and signaturely sound, with cutting-edge, digital technologies. This pedal represents the sonic possibilities and intuition that's to come with the next generation of Darkglass products!
There's No Other Pedal Like It!
The Darkglass Hyper Luminal actually utilises digital modelling to recreate the side-chain circuits and characteristsics from some of the music industry's most legendary compressors (including the Super Symmetry). This comes together with the pure, authentic analog signal path that Darkglass are renowned for to bring you an incredible compressor effect that will soon be gracing stages and studios the world over.
3 Built In Selectable Models
As with some of the more recent Darkglass releases, the Hyper Luminal can be connected to your PC/Mac via USB to load and edit additional compressor models into the mix, but also comes with three already built in. These include:
- BUS - Modelled after the Solid State Logic Bus Compressor
- FET - Inspired by the legendary UA 1176
- SYM - Darkglass Electronic's very own Super Symmetry
Not only that but, to help save on space, the Ratio and Mode switches aren't of the traditional mechanical variety. Instead, they are brand-new touch-through-metal sensors, which detect when and where the chassis is touched, and changes the parameters accordingly!
Premium-Grade Construction
Housed in a rugged aluminium chassis, and built using only the very best components and technology, the Hyper Luminal is ready to rock right out of the box. This pedal also features a gorgeous 10-LED gain reduction meter, four intuitive control knobs (Blend, Time, Compression and Level), and to top it all off, despite running at 9V it doubles the operation voltage internally to 18V, giving you plenty of extra headroom!
