The square-shouldered Dove dreadnought became one of the most iconic rock and roll instruments upon its introduction in 1962. The Epiphone Dove Studio is an outstanding dreadnought that embodies classic Dove styling from yesteryear without the price tag. A solid top offers bags of projection and bold tone.
A vintage classic with Fishman Sonitone System
Epiphone have retained the vintage tortoiseshell pickguard design and moustache' bridge, while employing modern features like the Fishman SoniCore electric pickup system for great live sound. Epiphone's new crafting techniques have also made the neck super comfortable, while retaining the vibe and sound of the original Dove. Built with a perfect partnership of a mahogany body and maple top, these tonewoods sound superb out the box but age gracefully to sweeten and brighten the sound as it relaxes to the environment.
The hard maple 25.5" scale neck has a SlimTaper "D" profile and is glued to the body using a dovetail joint and Titebond glue. The laurel fingerboard has singly ply white binding and features a 12” radius with 20 medium frets, a 1.68” nut, and pearloid parallelogram inlays.
The SoniCore sound-hole preamp is an active preamp mounted in the soundhole with easy-to-access mounted rotary controls for Master Volume and Tone adjustment. Now you can make your adjustments during soundcheck and even fine adjustments on-the-fly during your set.
Please Note: Although this guitar is listed as featuring Grover tuning machines, it may instead ship with Wilkinson tuners fitted. This is because Epiphone are currently in the process of altering their current acoustic and electric guitar model specs, with this being one of the key changes.
