The Mapex Mars Birch 22" 5pc Rock Shell Pack is a quality shell pack designed by leading drum kit makers Mapex. Designed for the Mapex Mars Birch series, this shell pack offers incredible power and versatility to cater to all different types of drummers. Constructed from a 6ply 100 birch shell, a quick and clear playing response is achieved time and time again. Whilst this birch shell construction allows for punchy bright tones to be projected from the bass drum. This kit features the standard Mapex SONIClear bearing edges and suspension system - all designed to provide a quality tone throughout.
As well as the rack tom and two floor toms, a 22" bass drum and 14" snare drum are included in this pack. All the drums have Remo drumheads for the best quality drum skins. This pack is made of maple, providing a warmer sound with less high frequencies than the birch Mars Crossover shells. The low contact bass drum claws allow for the bass drum to produce sound with as little damping as possible. The included SONIClear bearing edges and SONIClear tom suspension are specially designed for Mapex drums and are engineered to provide the optimum sound from your kit.

SONIClear Bearing Edges
Mapex have developed their SONIClear bearing edge technology to allow the drumhead to sit flatter for improved contact between shell and head. They believe this results in a stronger, deeper fundamental pitch, easier more consistent tuning and a significantly expanded tuning range. The result is drums that are much quicker to tune and that stay in tune longer. This means you can spend far less time tuning and much more time drumming. Winner!
All Birch Shell
The 6ply 100% birch shell offers powerful drum tones with a strong, low-end punch meaning these drum shells are guaranteed to be heard. Whilst the stunning sparkle finish delivers a high-end aesthetic to stand out in any venue this kit is played. Similarly, the chrome finish hardware nicely complements this finish - ensuring this Mapex kit looks as good as it sounds.
