The Vic Firth Freestyle 7A Drumsticks feature an extra long length and extended taper to provide a wider grip sweet spot allowing for a more varied range of feel and control.
Inspired By Freestyle Longboarding
Introduced at NAMM 2019, the Vic Firth Freestyle Drumsticks take their inspiration from the expression, flow and style of freestyle longboard skateboards.
Using a longer board gives the rider the ability to move up and down the board to achieve a range of skills without losing control.
Taking this idea and injecting it into a drumstick, Vic Firth have given their Freestyle sticks a massive 17 inch length and an extra long taper.
The combination of these two things serves to double the area where a drummer can place their fulcrum to achieve a wider array of response and feel from one stick.
Move your grip up the stick for a lighter touch or further towards the butt end for increased power.
The Vic Firth Freestyle Drumsticks are available in 7a, 85a, 5a, 55a and 5b.
